The roadster was developed by the founder of Powerhouse Roadboards John King, for downhill skateboarding, and competition stand up racing. The stability of this board is almost startling. The flat deck offers plenty of room to maneuver while in motion. The action from tuck to kneel during sharp turns is much smoother then bent boards, and a flat deck offers more real-estate to stand. Once the Roadster hit the sk8 shops, it found its way to the high school and college campuses and is getting more popular every day.
